The game is played with two dice. Players roll the dice to determine the outcome of the game. The shooter is the player rolling the dice. He must make a series of bets before the dice are thrown. The most common bet is the Pass Line bet. Once the dice are thrown, the outcome is determined and the bet is resolved. If the shooter throws a seven or eleven on the first roll, he wins. If he throws a two, three or twelve, he loses. Other numbers are called the Point, and the shooter must roll the Point again before rolling a seven to win the Pass Line bet.
