The object of the game is to correctly predict the outcome of the roll of the two dice. Players place their bets on the outcome and the outcome determines their bonus or loss. The game begins when a bet is placed on the "Pass" or "Don't Pass" line. The shooter then rolls the dice and players hope their bet is successful.
If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, known as "Natural," the player receives an immediate bonus. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, known as "Craps," the player instantly loses. In the event that the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, called the "point number," then that number becomes the point number and the shooter must roll that number again before a 7 is rolled in order to win. If a 7 is rolled before the point number occurs then the player loses.
