The game starts with the dealer dealing two face-up cards to the "Punto" (Player) and "Banco" (Banker). Players need to decide which hand they wish to bet on. The player or the āPuntoā will always be dealt the first two cards, and then the banker or the āBancoā will be dealt two cards.
The round will conclude once all the cards have been dealt. Then the value of both hands is calculated, and a winning hand is declared. The hand that has a total of nine or closest to nine, wins. The three main different types of bets that can be placed in Punto Banco are "Punto" (Player), "Banco" (Banker) and "Tie".
To calculate the value of a hand there are some simple rules: The numerical value of the cards are taken, however face cards don't have a value and are given zero points. Any hand with a total of 8 or 9 āNaturalā is considered winning. Any hand totalling over 10 points, the last digits are taken as the total.
Players are not allowed to touch the cards, as the casino dealers will play the game, similarly like in a live casino.
