Punto Banco is an easy-to-learn card game that is popular among both experienced and amateurs alike. The aim of the game is to predict which hand (Punto or Banco) will have the highest total card score. Punto and Banco are dealt two and three cards respectively. Their card values are added to determine the winner of the round.
Players start by placing their bets on either Punto, Banco, or Tie. Punto refers to the player's hand, Banco refers to the banker's hand, and a Tie bet results when both Punto and Banco have the same score.
The first two cards of Punto and Banco are dealt face up. If neither has a score of 8 or 9, the player is allowed to choose to stand or draw another card depending on the current total card score. Banco does the same according to a set of predetermined rules. The player only participates in the wagering process but does not have any say in the drawing of cards.
