Sic Bo is a popular dice game played in casinos all over the world, but its roots have been traced to ancient China. The game is considered to be the country's oldest chance-based game, believed to have originated in the late 18th century BC. The name literally translates as āprecious diceā in Chinese and has since gained popularity in China, and more recently worldwide, thanks to its easy-to-learn rules.
Typically, Sic Bo is played with three dice. A dealer rolls the dice and players bet on the outcome, based on a number of combinations and the probabilities of winning. Players can make wagers on the total of the roll, odds or evens, certain numbers, and other combinations. In most cases, winning Sic Bo bets will pay 1:1, although certain bets, such as Big and Small, pay 1:1 and 2:1 respectively.
