Play’n GO's Fantastic Poker Game: 3 Hands Casino Hold'em

Play’n GO has launched a sequel to Casino Hold’em named 3 Hands Casino Hold’em.

The sequel has one deck of 52 cards, but instead of 1 hand users get 3 hands. Three hands make this game much more interesting compared to traditional poker.

Why is that? For 2 reasons. Having three hands instead of one increases your chances of success against the dealer by 2 times. The second benefit of having three hands increases your odds of completing any of your three hands.

Rules

The rules of the game are very similar to the previous version “Casino Hold’em” except for one huge change we’ve mentioned above. For those of you who are not familiar with the previous version, we’re going to walk you through the rules.

Played with three hands (this is the huge change!)

• Cards are shuffled after both players have made a decision
• 1 deck (52 cards)
• For the dealer to qualify, they must have at least a pair of 4s
• The AA bonus paytable defines the payout of your AA table bet
• The Ante paytable defines the payout of your Ante bet
• 5 cards are used in each round
• All 5 cards influence in deciding the winner of the round. If the player and the dealer share a pair, then third, fourth, and fifth cards are used for deciding.

Gameplay

Previous section just highlighted the rules of the game. This section will give you a detailed description of how the game is played.

First the player must place the Ante bet and/or the option AA bonus bet on 1, 2, or all 3 hands. After the bet is placed, the player will receive 2 cards face-up and the dealer will receive two cards face-down. For each hand, 4 cards will be distributed in the same manner.

Then three community cards are laid face-up on the table. If a pair is formed between the card in the player's hand and on the table, and the pair is of Aces or better than the player gets the AA bonus.

If no pair is formed, the player loses. This happens for all 3 hands. If the player has won the bonus on one hand, they are given a choice. They get to choose whether to Call or Fold next.

If they Fold, they get the AA bonus. If they Call, then a bet with twice the amount will be placed for that hand.

After the player has decided to Call or Fold for each active hand, the dealer will deal the remaining two community cards and then reveal their own cards as well.

Here is the last step. For each active hand, the best available 5-card Poker Hand will be chosen. If the pair in the player’s hand is stronger than the dealers (even for one hand), they win the game. If none of the pairs in the player’s hand is stronger, then they lose. If pairs are equal, then it’s a draw and the player will get to keep both Ante and Call bets.

Graphics and Sound

The last thing to discuss is the graphics and sound of the game. The graphics of the game are designed to give the classic old-school feel. The chips are stacked in line and the deck is placed on the top-right corner.

In the background, Jazz music is playing and after every here and then there is a voice of the dealer telling the player to take action. Lastly, the players will hear a special sound effect whenever they make a bet.
