Texas holdāem is a type of poker game widely popular among players of all backgrounds and age groups. The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards, with players being dealt two cards face down as well as up to five community cards with which to form the strongest possible five card poker hand. It is a game of skill and strategy, so the playersā ability to make the best decision based on the cards dealt is critical to winning.
The general aim of the game is to win by having the highest ranking hand out of all the participants. The game starts as each player is dealt two cards ā known as hole cards. After all players have been dealt their starting hands, the players take turns betting or folding based off their own cards, and the community cards. At the end of the hand, the player that holds the best 5-card hand from their combination of hole cards and community cards wins the pot of all bets made during the round.
