At the start of each round, each player is dealt two cards face down. The goal is to get a total value of either 8 or 9, without exceeding the limit of 9. If this is not achieved, there are certain rules to follow in order to determine the result of the game.
First, if a player has a total value of 8 or 9, they win the round.
Second,if none of the players have a total value of 8 or 9, the destroyer (dealer) may draw a third card for himself or the players to reach a total of 8 or 9, depending on the house rules.
Third, if neither the players nor the destroyer achieves 8 or 9, the value of the cards is then evaluated, and the player with the highest amount then wins the round. If there is a tie, the round ends in a draw and no points are awarded.
