Dragon Tiger is a simple game that requires only two cards for the main game. Both the dealer and the player get one card each from separate decks. The higher card wins the game. If the cards of the dealer and the player are a tie, then both the bets are returned to the respective gamblers.
At first, the gamblers need to place bets on either the dragon or tiger cards -the choices between the cards. The card values are based on the traditional values of an Ace being 1, all picture cards have a value of 10, and all of the other cards have a value equal to their numerical value. The aces are ranked as the lowest and Kings the highest.
Once the bet is placed, both the dragon and the tiger cards are each dealt to the players. The dealer will turn the cards over to reveal the results and the person with the highest card is the winner of the game. If the cards are the same, the bets are returned.
The payout depends on the card values of the dragon and the tiger. Side bets can also be made which include any pair, suited tie, big and small. Players can choose to bet on the dragon, the tiger, or a tie.
The maximum bet in Dragon Tiger is usually pre-determined. This is done for the player’s safety and convenience. On many occasions, the maximum bet allows the player to make up to 8 decisions. This means that players can make a maximum bet of 8x the initial bet.
