Mahjong is an ancient Chinese tile game and one of the most popular parlor games in the world. It is also known as Mahjong Solitaire, since it is played by a single player. Mahjong involves four players and utilizes a set of 144 tiles, arranged into specific shapes most typically in the form of a square or rectangle.
The game consists of players taking turns to draw and discard tiles with the aim of completing a set of tiles. During a game, players will make connections in terms of patterns with the tiles and the main goal is for the player to become the "winner" by forming the most connections and the highest points. Winning is also based on the other players who may succeed in either forming more connections or forming equal points with the winner.
