Mahjong is an ancient Chinese game that has been around since the late 19th century. Every game of Mahjong is believed to have been played in the imperial court during the Qing Dynasty. The earliest mention of the game of Mahjong comes from a Chinese book titled "Chi Yu Ku Lun" written in 1193 CE, although references to Mahjong have been found in literature as early as the 4th century.
The game spread throughout China and eventually made its way to Egypt in the early 20th century. Since then Mahjong has become popular among Egyptians, with people from all social classes playing the game. In addition to Mahjong’s traditional form, versions of the game have also been popular in Egypt, with some variants creating an entirely new type of Mahjong.
