Punto Banco, also known as Baccarat, is a popular card game among casino players. It is believed to have origins in Italy and has been around since the 15th century. Though the rules are slightly different depending on the version of Punto Banco you choose to play, the basics will be the same and give players the same exciting experience.
In Punto Banco, the dealer (also known as the ābankerā) pits the player's cards against the house's cards. The player can bet on either the Player's hand, the Banker's hand, or Tie. After the bets are made, the Banker and Player are each dealt two cards and the value of the cards is calculated. The King, Queen, and Jack are all worth 10 points, while Aces are worth 1 point. All other cards are simply worth their face value. The total sum of a hand must not exceed 9, so all hands valued at 10 or higher are automatically reduced to 0.
