Punto Banco is a traditional form of baccarat that is widely played in casinos around the world. It is often referred to as American Baccarat and is believed to have originated in Italy. The main difference between this game and other versions of baccarat is that the players have more control over how they play the game.
The object of the game is for the players to place their bets on either the banker or the player or on a tie. The banker and the player are each dealt two cards and their totals are compared to determine the winner. If the players bet on the banker then the player with the highest total wins the game. If the players bet on the player then the banker with the higher total wins. If a tie is declared then neither of the bets are considered a winner and the bet is pushed back.
