Texas Holdem is a simple card game that originated in the United States in the early 20th century. It is one of the most popular forms of poker, especially in Algiers, where it is commonly played in private and public tournaments. The game starts with each player being dealt two hole cards which are face down. Then comes the betting. After the first round of betting, the dealer puts three face up cards in the middle of the table (the flop), followed by another round of betting. A fourth card (the turn) is then dealt and another round of betting follows. Lastly, a fifth card is added (the river) and the final round of betting takes place. The player with the best five card hand consisting of their two hole cards and the five community cards wins the pot.
