The rules of Texas Holdem are quite simple: Each player is dealt two hole cards. These are the cards that only the player sees, and they are the only cards they can use to make their poker hand. Additionally, five community cards are dealt face up in the middle of the poker table. All players can make use of these community cards in their hand. After the hole cards are dealt, players take turns making three rounds of bets. During pre-flop, the player to the left of the big blind (BB) must either call, raise, or fold. After the pre-flop round, three community cards are dealt face up ā the flop. During this round, the players can check, bet, raise, or fold. After the flop, the turn card is dealt and the same pattern of betting continues. Finally, the river card is dealt and the players have one last round of betting before the showdown.
