Texas holdem is a poker game suitable for all ages with two to ten players. The game consists of four rounds of betting, beginning with the flop.
Before the flop, each player is dealt two hole cards face down. The small blind and the big blind positions are determined by the dealer going in a clockwise motion. The players to the left of these positions have to put the blinds in the pot before the first round of betting.
During the flop, three community cards are dealt face up in the center of the table. Players can then check, bet or raise if they have a good hand. At the end of the betting, the player with the best 5 card hand with the 7 cards available will win the pot.
On the turn, a fourth community card is dealt face up in the center of the table. There will be another round of betting, with players being able to check, bet or raise with a better hand.
On the river, the fifth and final community card is dealt face up in the center of the table. After the river, the last round of betting begins, with players being able to check, bet or raise their hands if they think they can win. The player with the best 5 card poker hand out of the 7 cards available will win the pot.
