Pai Gow is an ancient Chinese game of dominoes also referred to as Chinese Domino. It was developed during the Qing Dynasty in the 19th century and has since been popular in many Asian countries. The name of the game comes from the two Chinese characters for “make nine.”
In this game of Pai Gow, there are four players and 32 tiles called Dominoes. All 32 dominoes are called gow tiles and have different rankings. The four players take turns rolling their tiles to form pairs and straights. The player whose last tile was a pair or straight wins the round.
